The last review talked about retinol as a teratogenic substance....I can tell the person who wrote it wants to sound smarter than the manufacture of the product, but hey, you need a lot of retinaol by mouth only to cause teratogenic effects...The product is wonderful and it does what it says. YES our skin does need all of the extras it can get, the outer layer is not a protective layer like the last person said, but a barrier to all the amazing products we can put on our faces. The secret to great skin is exfoliation...This last review was completely out of place....Please study further before you say things...

These were gift that I forgot about until last summer. That turned out to a blessing, as I really enjoyed using these sheets in the summertime as they're cooling and refreshing. At first I thought I'd hate them because they looked a bit awkward to use, but in reality, they're a cinch. After cleansing my face, I place them under my eyes, and kick back, watching some TV. I'll often forget how long I have them on. They don't completely dry out, but then do gradually start to peel up on the edges. I should add that the sheets aren't sticky, but because they're so damp, they just naturally stick to my face.
One box contains 12 packets, each with 2 elliptical shaped sheets, that are drenched in the Retinol formula. Pull off the foil top of the package and place one sheet under each eye. There is no "front" or "back" side to the sheets, but Shiseido recommends placing the broader end at the outside of the eye.
I'll admit I was a bit skeptical and didn't think that they would really provide much benefit, but I noticed right away that my skin looked softer and more refreshed. The texture of my skin was smoother and my fine lines did appear to be less noticeable. But would this all disappear by the next morning? Surprisingly not! I woke up and noticed immediately that my under-eye area looked rejuvenated.
Obviously, I need to use these eye sheets every couple days for continued benefit. But as I finish up my first box, I feel like I'm already hooked on Pure Retinol Instant Treatment Eye Mask. I feel lucky that I got my first box as a gift and shudder at the thought of paying around $60 for another box. But for the summertime at least, when I do enjoy the refreshing benefits of these sheets, I feel it's worth it.

I dont normally write reviews, but I have to for this stuff since its so awesome! I dont know what the prior reviewers beef is with this product but I have nothing but great things to say about it! I read about it in People and decided to try it... it totally depuffs my eyes and removed the tiny crows feet that were forming. If you want a super soothing and hydrating eye mask that will make your eyes look amazing, buy this stuff. The first thing people look at when they see you is your eyes, why not invest in making them look uber sexy? Estee Lauder Cooling Eye Illuminator is another good one to use in conjunction with this if you want truly amazing eyes!)

I have only been using this product for a few months but already I'm a big fan. The results are subtle but effective in providing a concentration of moisture to the sensitive eye area.
There are no irritants to make my eyes tear up and there's a generous amount of solution so that I can leave it on for about 30 minutes or longer until the cotton is totally dry.
But the most attractive reason for buying from this vendor is that it is the identical box sold at Macy's but at a savings of almost ten dollars. May not seem like much, but savings add up.

Best ever. takes 15 minutes, but the results although temporary are astonishing, what a great fix for tired eyes. Noticeable difference immediately.
